The Jorfi Laboratory and the Griciuc Laboratory in the Genetics and Aging Research Unit at the Department of Neurology, Massachusetts General Hospital are seeking a highly motivated Post-Doctoral Research Fellow to conduct research in neuroimmunology with an emphasis on innate immune receptors, human iPSC-derived cells, and animal models of Alzheimer's disease.
Our collaborative teams investigate how immune cells interact with other cell types in the brain in the context of neurodegeneration, utilizing iPSC-derived myeloid and neural lineages, 3D human multicellular systems, and animal models. The Postdoctoral Fellow will contribute to ongoing efforts to model neuroimmune mechanisms and advance next-generation therapeutic strategies for Alzheimer's disease. The Post-Doctoral Research Fellow will be expected to: 1.Make strong intellectual contributions to scientific strategy 2.Serve as a subject matter expert in relevant experimental methods 3.Lead and contribute to manuscripts, reports, grants, and presentations 4.Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment This position is a multi-year, fully funded opportunity within a dynamic and highly interactive scientific community at the Genetics and Aging Research Unit under the leadership of Dr. Rudolph E.
