OVERVIEW

We are seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Total Rewards Manager to join a collaborative and passionate HR team. The ideal candidate would be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive total rewards programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent while supporting the organization's business objectives. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in benefits and compensation strategies, as well as strong analytical and communication skills.

This individual should thrive in a lean, hands-on environment, bring strong subject matter expertise, and possess the curiosity and ownership to propose and deliver impactful solutions. This is a hybrid role.

Salary range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000 dependent upon experience.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Manage the planning, day-to-day administration, and ongoing evaluation of our total rewards function as well as management of its related vendors, consultants, and service providers.
  • Assess and benchmark competitive benefits, compensation, and rewards programs that strengthen the organization's ability to attract and retain employees and deliver desired results to the organization.
  • Lead and develop a team in our benefits, retirement, and compensation functions.
  • Lead annual total rewards processes such as open enrollment and all components of the annual compensation cycle.
  • Lead the design, analysis, and administration of competitive and equitable compensation programs, including conducting annual salary market analysis to maintain fair and consistent pay practices.
  • Develop and deliver communication and education initiatives to help employees understand and appreciate the value of their total rewards package.
  • Perform benchmarking and market analysis of roles and audit pay practices to ensure alignment with internal protocols as well as Federal, State and Local laws.
  • Perform analytical studies in a variety of compensation areas, such as internal and external equity, competitive pay practices, and emerging trends to recommend engagement and retention strategies
  • Contribute to creating and implementing a differentiated employee experience strategy that touches all points of the employee lifecycle in collaboration with the full HR function and leadership.
  • Partner with other functional areas of the organization to drive forward total rewards principles and programs to meet the organization's goals.
  • Utilize data analytics and benchmarking to assess the effectiveness of total rewards programs, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Maintain compliance with company, federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; periodically review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Analyze internal operations and identify areas that need process improvement.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and administering corporate Total Rewards programs with an emphasis on benefits and compensation.
  • 2+ years of leadership or team management experience, preferably in the Total Rewards environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR laws and regulations to ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, FMLA, COBRA, FLSA and other regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with compensation survey analysis and market data interpretation.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make recommendations clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) and/or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP).
  • Working knowledge of employee-owned companies with ESOP and KSOP plan structures.
