IMEG is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Civil team in Pasadena, California. In this role, you will lead design efforts for moderate to complex civil engineering projects, providing technical direction and oversight to a team of engineers. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver innovative solutions for civil infrastructure and site development projects using tools such as Autodesk Civil 3D. Principal Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and analysis of civil engineering project features using Autodesk Civil 3D or equivalent software, ensuring compliance with codes and IMEG standards.
  • Train and guide team members in civil engineering software for modeling traffic analysis, pipe networks, and related tasks.
  • Oversee civil site design and provide advanced technical oversight to project teams.
  • Interact with clients to gather requirements, communicate technical information, and build strong professional relationships.
  • Conduct in-process design reviews and implement IMEG quality control processes to meet industry and client standards.
  • Provide technical training, mentoring, and assistance in resolving field issues with limited senior staff support.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices; contribute to research and innovation within IMEG.
  • Prioritize safety and regulatory compliance, interpreting state and local design criteria for project needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions that achieve project goals.
  • Participate in project interviews and presentations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent, required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License required
  • 7 years of experience minimum required, 8 preferred, in the building design consulting industry
  • Advanced proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications
  • Advanced proficiency in technical and analytical skills for civil infrastructure.
  • Strong training, mentoring and leadership skills
  • Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Eagerness to adapt to new challenges
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight stays This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

State of California Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000/year.
Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
