Job Overview

Join Komatsu as a Product Support Sales Representative inUtah!


In this role you will provide product support for construction equipment parts, attachment and services. You will have the opportunity support customer with their heavy equipment needs. As you establish and support relationships within your territory, it will position you as a trusted advisor for our customers.


The territory for this position is Orem south to 70, east towads 191, including Moab, Blanding, San Juan county,and Monticello, and west of Duchesne. A company vehicle is provided.


Key Job Responsibilities

  • Identify and expand opportunities for parts and service sales among assigned customers to drive revenue growth across various product lines, including consumables, service repairs, and undercarriage services.
  • Prepare comprehensive parts and service estimates
  • Enhance the company's service presence through a thorough understanding of the fleet needs of each assigned customer, enabling customized solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date customer information to create a database consisting of machine specifics, key contacts, and service purchasers.
  • Educate customers on product support technology and provide hands-on training as required.
  • Act as the primary contact for all customer inquiries regarding equipment maintenance and repair issues.
  • Offer assistance during non-standard hours for emergency needs, demonstrating commitment and reliability.
  • Communicatewith customers regarding parts availability and order fulfillment.
  • Manage customer expectations effectively, balancing scheduling logistics and parts availability against the urgency of needs.
  • Oversee collections and purchase order management to ensure smooth operational flows.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Prior experience in construction equipment (technician, sales,product support, fleet & maintenance management)
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude
  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to foster effective engagement with customers and colleagues.
  • Possess strong customer service instincts and relationship-building competencies to facilitate lasting client engagements.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record

  • Total compensation ranges for this position, with most sales people making $125,000 - $150,000 between the base salary & commission

Hiring Range

At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $50,000. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
