Job Description:

The Facility Control Technician will lead the operation, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and continuous improvement of complex utilities and facility control systems within a semiconductor fabrication environment. You'll ensure critical facility subsystems-HVAC, compressed gases, process water, vacuum systems, and BMS controls; and operate with high reliability to support 24O7 production uptime.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee, optimize, and troubleshoot HVAC, HVAC controls, critical power/environmental systems, compressed gases (e.g., high-pressure nitrogen), vacuum, and process water systems.

  • Implement advanced diagnostics and automated control adjustments to maximize uptime and safety.

  • Design and manage preventive maintenance (PM) programs for facility systems, track compliance, and perform predictive inspections to prevent failure.

  • Address escalated corrective actions-rapidly restoring operations while coordinating with stakeholders.

  • Drive engineering updates and facility mods (e.g., fab expansions, utility upgrades).

  • Estimate costs, define scope, schedule execution, ensure documentation and compliance.

  • Monitor BMS/IBMS data for early detection of inefficiencies or faults.

  • Assist in programing, testing and commissioning control sequences for HVAC, chilled water, vacuum, CDA and exhaust systems.

  • Maintain logs, generate KPIs (MTBF, MTTR), and report on performance metrics.

  • Serve as subject-matter expert for facilities control systems.

  • Support process, utilities, and engineering teams with root-cause analysis and technical escalations.

  • Conduct safety inspections and enforce PPE/adherence to EHS standards in the fab environment.

  • Develop/review SOPs, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

  • Coach junior technicians and support staff in troubleshooting, system diagnostics, and PM best practices.
