The Vice President of Telemetry & Infrastructure Systems is responsible for leading and executing North America and European strategy governing telemetry, building management systems, capacity planning and facility operation center growth and planning. The VP of Telemetry & Infrastructure Systems will ensure current and future business needs are met and customers of critical services are managed effectively in all markets. This role will strategize, manage, and operate multiple teams/services within several markets. This leader will serve as the liaison for all executives and department heads to ensure appropriate communication with all interested and vested parties. Leads and directs the staff in these areas to optimize employee potential and maximize Databank's continued growth in existing and new markets.

Responsibilities

  • Establish key KPI, SLA's, metrics and measurements, demonstrating team performance and system health. Communicates through operational reviews. Measures and tracks against industry benchmarks and standards.
  • Manages, coaches, and develops management team performing BMS, Capacity Planning and Telemetry services.
  • Evaluates and mitigates risk on new and existing programs within program governance.
  • Manages budgeting and forecasting, planning, deployment, incident and problem management, change management.
  • Defining policies, procedures, and standards related to performance, capacity, availability, continuity, and security.
  • Partner closely with other business units to coordinate key activities and opportunities to streamline our performance and reduce the friction associated with working across separate departments.
  • Ensures availability of all critical systems to the broader Databank ecosystem and ensure effective maintenance and support to internal and external consumers of these services.
  • Experience with BMS drawbridge systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 10 years' experience in BMS and/or controls at a major enterprise in a relevant field (Oil and Gas, Chemical Plant, Technology Manufacturing and Data Center, etc.).
  • 5 years' experience managing national or global level NOC/FOC (Network Operation Center or Facility Operation Center) management, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated track record of leading mission critical events/incidents and coordinating responses involving technology, mechanical, electrical and building telemetry.
  • Experience managing and supporting mission critical technology service with an emphasis on customer experience in the data center environment
  • Familiarity with capacity management in relevant context
  • Demonstrable experience developing organizations to maturity
  • 3 years demonstrated Manager of Manager experience
  • P&L leadership of a minimum of 20 staff and 3 managers
  • Experience developing performance metrics
  • Managing talent
  • Demonstrated track record of increasing responsibility over time
  • General Executive skills
  • Ability to manage and motivate people
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
