About the Role

We're looking for a dynamic Pre-Sales Solution Architect to drive our Product Support Services presales efforts - from integration and technical assistance to professional services, repair, and IT asset disposition (ITAD). You'll be the bridge between sales opportunities and successful delivery, ensuring solutions are scoped, priced, and positioned for success.

In this role, you'll assess customer needs, design optimal service delivery models, and collaborate with internal teams and partners to win business. You'll also play a key role in onboarding and vetting delivery partners into our global ecosystem.

What You'll Do

  • Lead presales engagements - analyze RFI/RFP requirements, validate customer needs, and design tailored service solutions.
  • Collaborate with capture & proposal teams to craft compelling, compliant solution frameworks and bid strategies.
  • Engage with customers - attend meetings, clarify requirements, and perform gap analyses to refine solutions.
  • Develop tools & models - create technical requirements, cost models, and sourcing strategies to support bids.
  • Validate solutions - ensure offerings from internal teams and partners meet technical, cost, and compliance standards.
  • Value engineer - identify the most efficient, cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
  • Ensure continuity - act as the link between presales and delivery after a win, ensuring smooth execution.
  • Onboard delivery partners - vet and integrate new partners into our global services network.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience:
    • 8-10 years in the IT industry, with at least 3 years in sales engineering or consulting.
    • 1-3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business or IT-related field preferred.
    • Technical certifications (Cisco, NetApp, IBM, Hitachi, Dell/EMC) are a plus.
    • CLTD certification is ideal but not required.
  • Skills:
    • Advanced understanding of supply chain and OEMs is highly preferred.
    • Strong solution design and proposal writing abilities.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Proven ability to negotiate and close deals with win-win outcomes.
    • Strong leadership, organization, and time management skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Advanced proficiency in relevant computer systems and tools.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Willingness to travel (15-20%).
    • Comfortable with occasional non-standard hours or on-call availability.
