The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix seeks to recruit faculty specializing in research on the etiology and/or treatment of psychiatric disorders. Reporting directly to the Chair, the preferred candidate will have an established research program specializing in fields such as genomics, transcriptomics, neuroimaging, animal models, pharmacology, or related fields as applied to illnesses such as schizophrenia, mood and anxiety disorders, and substance dependence.
Applicants must possess a PhD and/or MD (or equivalent) and postdoctoral training in the proposed field of study. Candidates must have prior experience supervising research projects, obtaining and maintaining research budgets, procurement of research equipment and supplies as well as devising and successfully implementing research policies of the organization. A strong track record of publishing peer-reviewed manuscripts and research grant applications is required. The candidate will be required to submit intramural and extramural research grant proposals in the area of their proposed research program. Finally, the candidate will be expected to participate in the educational, training, and service missions of the Department and College. The successful candidate will fulfill the responsibilities of a faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry, actively participate in teaching, clinical service and/or scholarly work, and must qualify for an appointment at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor. The successful candidate will meet the requirements of either a career track or tenure track faculty according to the College and University guidelines. | Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report |
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
