Atlanta, GA Job Summary
The National Artificial Intelligence Research Institute for Adult Learning and Online Education (AI-ALOE) invites applications for the position of the Project Manager for the Institute. The Project Manager will work closely with the Institute Director and leadership team on all organizational and operational elements of the institute, ensuring smooth functioning of the institute across all partner sites. He/she will manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Institute's research program, including development and implementation of policies and procedures, and monitoring and assessment of research progress towards Institute goals. He/she will work with the Institute leadership on strategic planning and help prepare reports and newsletters to various stakeholders including NSF. He/she will manage and coordinate AI-ALOE staff and resources, including working with finance personnel to ensure the Institute operations are within budget. The hiring of the Project Manager will be through Georgia Tech's Institute for Data Engineering and Science (IDEAS). The initial appointment will be for one year (potentially renewable for additional years) with a competitive salary. Responsibilities
Works with Institute director and leadership team on strategic planning and research program development and assessment. * Works with research leads at partner sites to ensure coordination of research projects and activities. * Prepares updates and reports to the AI-ALOE principals and to NSF as the federal sponsor. These include quarterly research newsletters, annual research reports, project results, and other relevant updates that demonstrate the multi-faceted work of AI-ALOE. * Directs, monitors, and supervises the work of AI-ALOE staff including the executive assistant, the communications coordinator, the development coordinator, and the grant administrator. * Leads the AI-ALOE staff on internal and external communication including management of the Institute website and social media. * Leads the AI-ALOE staff to plan and coordinate meetings, retreats, workshops, etc. * Helps with IRB and responsible conduct of research. * And other duties as assigned by the PI and/or the Executive Director.
