Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



Read and understand shipping orders and receiving documents to accurately load and unload all materials shipped and received according to detailed written and/or verbal instructions.



Read and understand work orders to accurately pick and supply the fabrication department with raw materials from inventory according to detailed written and/or verbal specifications and instructions.



Perform all duties necessary to physically load and unload trucks as required to ensure timely loading and unloading of all trucks.



Verify conformance to specifications using a tape measure.



Follow 5s (sort, sweep, shine, standardize and sustain) and Safety policies



Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:



High school diploma or equivalent and/ or up to two years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.



Language Skills:



Ability to read and comprehend detailed written and verbal instructions, correspondence, and memos.



Mathematical Skills:



Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.



Reasoning Ability:



Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a limited number of variables in standardized/repetitive situations.



Computer Skills:



Basic computer skills preferred but not required.



Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:



Certified Forklift License


Valid Drivers License



Other Skills and Abilities:



Ability to read a tape measure in increments of 1/32 or more.



Demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
