Summary
The Senior Application Coordinator-Pharmacy designs, builds, tests, validates, and supports clinical applications. This position obtains and maintains in-depth knowledge of the application functionality, and acquires knowledge of the clinical/business workflows to be implemented on the system. The Senior Application Coordinator jointly with each other, and with the department representatives, designs future-state workflows and builds the system to support the new workflows. This position works with each other in workgroups, and across interdisciplinary workgroups, to accomplish these goals as a team. Provides excellent customer service and maintains professionalism at all times.
Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of Pharmacy
- At least five years of hospital pharmacy management experience and/or related experience to assure a meaningful understanding of all operational aspects of the pharmacy department including: purchasing, inventory control, inpatient pharmacy operations, outpatient clinic drug use, outpatient prescription pharmacy operations, drug file structure and file maintenance, and patient profile databases for all pharmacy systems.
- Must be familiar with all aspects of Pharmacy Information System database maintenance, including familiarity with information system management, in general.
- Must demonstrate significant knowledge of all applicable systems as assigned and knowledge of database maintenance and control principles.
- Must be able to handle multiple assignments, work flexible hours, and communicate with technical personnel and end users in a positive manner
- Preferably Willow Inpatient experience, EPIC experience on inpatient side
- Preferably licensed as a pharmacist in the State of Georgia, or eligible for licensure within 120 days through reciprocity or exam
