About this Position

ChristianaCare is searching for a Program Coordinator to oversee the administrative management of the Delaware Nurse Anesthesiology Program at ChristianaCare and Wilmington University and provide varied complex administrative support of the Director. This position requires a thorough understanding of affiliation agreements and accreditation standards as well as policies and procedures of the program. The Coordinator will also Interpret and implement management policies and procedures as needed for the CRNA education program.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

  • Functions as the main coordinator under the Program Director (PD) and Assistant Program Director for CRNA students rotating through the hospital system.
  • Handles all communications with CRNA Program and Academic Affairs, coordinating rotations with CC preceptors, and coordinating student rotation placements.
  • Reviews rotation curriculum to assure it incorporates CRNA accreditation standards, program standards, and the ChristianaCare Way.
  • Directs administration, planning, management, and coordination of CRNA Students rotating at ChristianaCare.
  • Develops and ensures consistent application of policies and procedures for CRNA Students.
  • Participates in onboarding and orientation for new CRNA students within the health system.
  • Sets welcoming tone for students and is a role model and CRNA ambassador for ChristianaCare. Maintains positive attitude in fostering relationships with CRNA students, preceptors, and CRNA program contacts.
  • Works to continuously verify, update, and inform CRNA Clinical Coordinators to assist with internal student scheduling at ChristianaCare.
  • Maintains meticulous records of student schedules and program contact information.
  • Oversees and assists in onboarding process of CRNA students.
  • Collaborate with ASPA to manage clinical site permanent files, clinical coordinator credentials, and monitor expiration of clinical coordinator credentials.
  • Maintain current student training affiliation agreement in conjunction with legal. Oversees maintenance of CRNA affiliation agreement between ChristianaCare and WilmU.
  • Collaborate with Dept of Anesthesiology to proctor CRNA job shadowing program and solicit practicing CRNAs to participate.
  • Facilitate Program clinical coordinator/faculty site visits for student rotations as requested.
  • Communicate policies and procedures and maintain all student and lecturer records in accordance with accreditation guidelines.
  • Responsible for all human resource needs for the CRNA faculty related to time and attendance.
  • Plan all logistical aspects, including onboarding of vendors, and coordination of speakers and events,
  • for DNAP events
  • Update essential program documents (alumni lists handbooks and policies and procedures, etc.)
  • Maintain student files in accordance with the Council on Accreditation guidelines
  • Create agendas and schedules committee meetings
  • Collaborate with faculty to coordinate the Sim/Skill labs and/or classes held at ChristianaCare
  • Assist Program Director in maintaining calendars and appointments, processing information requests and daily correspondence, editing and proofreading documents, and reserving and scheduling rooms for the program.

Education and experience requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred in Office Administration/Secretarial\Science/relevant degree, or minimum of one (1) to three (3) years' experience demonstrating knowledge and skills relevant to the position.
  • Experience working in CRNA, GME, or UME or desired.
  • Familiarity with the organization and processes of medical education or ability to learn.
  • At least three (3) years progressive administrative assistant experience or equivalent, demonstrating successful office management experience with prior supervisory experience preferred.
Hourly Pay Range: $23.85 - $35.78 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
