Astrion has an exciting opportunity for aJunior Contracts Representative.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working as a Government Contract Administrator for a Government defense contractor.
  • A degree in Business, Finance, or related discipline is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of FAR, DFAR, and related Federal regulations.
  • Working knowledge of various contract types used in Federal Government Contracting.
  • Provides cradle to grave contractual administration of Government Prime contracts and subcontracts to another Prime.
  • Completes administrative requirements such as representations and certifications, insurance certification requests, and data entry in contract management section of CostPoint.
  • Providing internal customer support on behalf of the Contracts department to other departments, i.e. business development and accounting.
  • Maintains contracts, subcontracts and proposal files and records.
  • Provides support to proposal efforts which may require work at night or the weekend.
  • Assists with preparation and submission of recurring contract reports.
  • Assists with reporting and compiling information related to the company's contracts.
  • Prepares documentation for contract closeouts.
  • Support senior team members with issuance of Non-disclosure Agreements and Teaming Agreements, as needed.
  • Responds in a timely manner to requests.

  • Must be capable of meeting strict deadlines.
  • Must be experienced interfacing with Government Contracting Officers and senior members of a corporate organization.
  • Must have working knowledge of CostPoint.
  • Must have working knowledge of SharePoint.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Negotiating, evaluating, analyzing, and administering prime contracts and subcontracts from another Prime from award to closeout.
  • Tracking cost, deliverables, and milestones for multiple government contracts.
  • Responding to inquiries by Government Contracting Officers, CORs, and other officials.
  • Reviewing and preparing portions of company's responses to Request for Proposals.
  • Researching, analyzing, and reviewing applicable policies, guidance, and regulations and preparing concise and thorough responses in support of company's Program Managers.
  • Maintaining contract files in accordance with organizational processes and procedures.
  • Researching problems on a wide variety of contractual issues and drafting appropriate correspondence for internal and external distribution.
