Job Summary

Loudoun County's Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services is currently looking for qualified individuals to fill the full-time position of Licensed Program Coordinator. This role operates under the general direction of the assigned supervisor and entails planning, developing, and supervising a specific program and its staff within the department. Key responsibilities include marketing program services to the community, managing the program budget and service delivery, maintaining program records, and evaluating program revenue and success. Furthermore, this position will also oversee the standards for staff certification and training sessions.

We are currently hiring for the following location(s):
* Dulles South Recreation & Community Center, South Riding, VA

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Confirms that preschool programs fulfill state licensing criteria, supervise teaching staff, and organize teacher schedules; collaborates with the Preschool Advisory Board on projects; refreshes staff and parent manuals; and files the annual parent evaluation upon the program's completion.
* Manages program resources and evaluates program effectiveness.
* Oversees the budget for the program.
* Coordinates the assessment of programs; formulates standards, methodologies, and instruments for program evaluation; and integrates evaluation data into the planning of future programs.
* Formulates and executes surveys to ascertain if programs satisfy needs and expectations; delivers reports and data for quarterly performance assessments.
* Confirms that expenses are charged appropriately; oversees revenue, purchases, expenses, payments, and cash handling; reconciles credit card transactions in the system.
* May carry out additional critical job responsibilities pertinent to the specific role and departmental assignment.

Hiring salary is commensurate with experience



Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Education, Child Development, Business, or related field; one (1) year related work experience with some lead or supervisory experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Prefer Teaching License or eligibility to obtain an endorsement in Early Childhood Education.


Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

Must undergo criminal background, credit, fingerprinting, DMV, and Child Protective Service (CPS) background checks. Driver records may undergo an annual review to confirm their continued eligibility. Pass TB screening questions prior to hire and every two years thereafter. Must complete a sworn disclosure statement or affirmation disclosing any criminal convictions or pending criminal charges upon hire and every (5) years thereafter. First Aid (Infant through Adult)/CPR certifications prior to hire or within 30 days of hire.
