Family Description
Customer Services (CS) covers customer service in different areas such as technical support, account support, operations, maintenance, network design / deployment / integration / transformation, and education. Generates revenue and the increase of customer satisfaction through planning, designing, deploying, integrating, optimizing, operating, and maintaining phases.
Subfamily Description
Systems Integration (SIN) contains the integration and customization of Nokia solutions and 3rd party platforms to meet customer requirements. Contains processing of use case and feature requirements into conceptual models, operational scenarios, technical requirements, and functional description. Covers customer specific solution and software design, development, implementation, unit testing and verification of hardware, platform, software, and systems including maintenance support. As a member of Nokia Convergent Charging (NCC) System Integration and Deployment Team, you will develop and execute NCC (a leading real-time rating and online charging application provides an operator with voice/data in 5G network) integration method of procedures (MOP) into customer lab and production environments. This is a position where the candidate will have a challenging opportunity to apply academic skills and industry experience in virtualization software deployment and integration of application and services into customer networks. The candidate will typically be part of a cross-functional small team with primary job responsibilities including:
- Review of customer/product deployment requirements and feature/solutions
- Support of product installation at a customer's site
- Development and execution of integration and upgrade Method of Procedure
- Development and execution of features/solution Acceptance test plans in a
- Customer's environment both labs and production network
- Reporting of test results and follow-up corrective action.
We deploy products in the Policy and Charging domain. The ideal candidate will have experience in the segment and knowledge of customer network uses of these products. Candidates will be required to interact and work with internal Nokia teams globally and external customers in NAM. The candidate must be comfortable taking ownership for complex issues and demonstrate excellent leadership in resolving issues while collaborating with deeply technical, subject matter experts. Knowledge & Experience
Must have competency and/or experience in these domain areas:
- Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, EE (with strong software interest)
- Experience in test automation including Robot and charging feature development/testing
- Networking protocols including IS-41/IS-826/ISUP, LDAP, TCP/IP, HTTP, Routing, and Firewalls
- Diameter protocol (Gy/Sy) including simulation tools
- Proficient with Redhat Linux operating system and knowledge on Kubernetes and docker containers is a must
- Hands-on knowledge with cloud technologies & projects involving various Network Function Virtualization Infrastructures (NFVI) such as OpenShift and VMWare
- Commercial data bases, knowledge of Aerospike DB would be a key differentiator
- Scripting knowledge in Python, Shell, Java Scripts/Angular JS, Bash, and Ansible
The ideal candidate will have experience and demonstrated proficiency in these areas:
- Working knowledge of NCC feature functionality with ability to independently author, test and deliver high quality complex MOPs and functional tests
- Candidates should have a strong background in 4G/5G charging testing or development with good debugging and problem-solving skills and able to work independently and effectively under pressure
- Excellent analytical skill and ability to produce high quality test strategy, test plan, and test cases is essential
- Experienced with NCC platform or applications based on Nokia CSF platform and VNF and CNF onboarding and orchestrations is a must
- Experienced in creating Helm scripts is a major plus
- Working independently across cross functional teams including System Engineers, R&D, Program Management to provide solutions to complex customer requirements.
- Hands on experience on deployment, integration and configuration of NCC applications in complex customer networks
- Good customer facing skills and knowledge of NCC Reference Data.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve issues/problems on large complex deployments and to analyze requirements and translate them into solution designs
- Excellent written and verbal English communications skills with experience reporting project status to an internal and customer audience
