Responsibilities:

  • Inspect raw materials, components, and finished products for defects or deviations from specifications.
  • Measure product dimensions using tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Compare products against blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Document inspection results accurately and report nonconformance issues.
  • Approve or reject products based on inspection outcomes and company standards.
  • Tag, isolate, and communicate about nonconforming materials.
  • Support production teams by identifying quality issues early in the process.
  • Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and measurement equipment.
  • Assist in root cause investigations and corrective action processes.
  • Follow all company safety rules, quality procedures, and standard operating practices.
  • Communicate with supervisors, leads, and production teams about inspection results and quality concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inspection area at all times.


Requirements:

  • Excellent communication, reading, and comprehension skills with the ability to interpret blueprints, manuals, safety rules, and technical documents.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, including effective troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and database systems, with the ability to communicate professionally through digital platforms.
  • Solid understanding of quality engineering principles, basic math, and statistical analysis used in inspection and process improvement.
  • Self-motivated and resourceful, with the ability to recognize when to seek direction and take initiative to identify and resolve issues.
  • Proficiency with precision measurement tools (micrometers, gauges, surface plates, etc.)
