Take on an important role as a Senior Licensed Vocational Nurse Supervisor with our Venice Family Clinic team and make a difference in the community. In this position, you will be responsible for providing support and direct supervision to the medical assistant staff and with problem solving of clinic operations. Responsibilities also include performing a variety of patient care activities, such as administering injections and medications, monitoring patients' blood pressure, changing bandages, inserting catheters, and assisting with bathing or dressing. This position will work in a variety of medical settings, including mobile medical units, clinics, physician offices and in street medicine.

Salary Range: $37.60 - $78.35 Hourly

Qualifications
Required:
  • Two years of supervisory experience.
  • Two years of work experience in providing primary care.
  • California State Licensed Vocational Nurse (IV certified).
  • Phlebotomy certification and BCLS/CPR card.
  • Skill in performing phlebotomy and skill in administering injections and immunizations.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, and skill at working independently and prioritizing assignments.
  • Ability to pass a Basic Health Worker course and obtain certificate.
  • Ability to prioritize and follow through on assignments, and work in a busy setting with conflicting demands.
  • Knowledge of health education, public health, and medical terminology.
