 Wage Range: $22.80-$26.60 Function: To efficiently operate the robot and stacker; ensuring the proper handling of units. Monitor the material handling process. Essential Job Responsibilities: Operates the robot/stacker, properly adjusts the machines parameters according to order specifications. Monitors the robot/stacker's mechanical performance to ensure the robot is performing properly. Must be constantly aware of the machines condition. Communicates to maintenance and supervisor the reason for mechanical difficulty or failure. Continually inspects equipment to ensure it is functioning safely and properly. Ensures the machines are being maintained and cleaned properly. Understands emergency procedures, requirements and conditions. Maintains off-line production paperwork, including the accurate measuring and logging of finished product produced, location, breakage and loss, and recut status. Understands and Operates external conveyor systems Communicates with receivers and loaders to improve flow of product to the line. Communicates with console operator and Q.A. regarding condition of the glass coming from the coater. Performs duties in accordance with the Business Process Documentation. Participate in Viracon's Continuous Improvement efforts by understanding his/her team's performance and actively implementing and supporting process improvements. Additional Job Responsibilities: May assist in unloading glass during the shift as needed and as time allows. Provides leadership assistance to the line lead and provides line leadership in the absence of the lead. Meets and monitors all safety requirements and policies for the coatings production lines. Maintains a positive attitude and provides good communication to the lead and other co-workers. Follow all established 6S guidelines established for the coatings area. Performs any other reasonable and related tasks assigned. Demonstrate good problem solving techniques to reduce mechanical downtime. Demonstrate working knowledge of the machines capabilities, parameters adjustments, and machine mechanics. Must maintain a clean work environment. May help in other production areas as necessary to meet production schedules or balance workloads. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent GED preferred but not required. Ability to read and understand work instructions (English). Mathematical skills as related to measurements. Familiar with operating power tools Ability to take supervision. Ability to communicate effectively and work as a team member. Must be able to safely perform essential job responsibilities. Regular full-time attendance.
