Overview

The primary function of the Associate Legal Operations Analyst is to support the Legal, Compliance, and Strategic Vendor Solutions Department on a variety of matters including litigation, document management and production, intellectual property, department data management, matter and legal hold management, and legal systems administration.



Responsibilities

    Creating and managing matters in matter management tool in accordance with Legal Operations standard operating procedure.
  • Utilizing legal hold management tool to issue legal hold notifications at the request of issuing attorneys; administering the department's legal hold management tool and related data and processes.
  • Coordinating and assisting attorneys with review and production of information and documents to third parties for litigation, subpoena responses, and other similar processes.
  • Acting as systems administrator for certain legal systems including SharePoint by managing user permissions and access. Providing systems training for new department members as needed.
  • Collaborating with department stakeholders to complete and maintain data map for all department data.
  • Acting as information governance liaison for Legal Operations.
  • Organize and maintain the company's intellectual property library.
  • Performing all responsibilities in conformance with current relevant policies and procedures and in alignment with team and department leadership.
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting.
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • One to three years' experience in administrative and legal support functions, with at least one to three years' experience as a litigation paralegal, is required. Completion of formal legal education may be substituted for years of experience.
  • Experience with intellectual property filings is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in utilizing web-based applications. Exceptional ability to learn and adapt to new technologies, as well as troubleshoot and provide first-level tech support to colleagues. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook) required. Familiarity with Legal Tracker, Casepoint, or other similar tools is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive customer service attitude to help promote training, troubleshooting, and the execution of various processes.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to interpret and execute against a variety of instructions provided in written or oral form.

  • Very strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to proactively write, revise and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures for the functional responsibilities outlined above.
  • Ability to provide leadership, as well as to listen and take direction from others when needed.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
  • No adverse environmental conditions expected.
  • Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.
  • Must be able to provide high-speed internet access / connectivity and office setup and maintenance.

Base compensation ranges from $31.25/hr to $36.06/hr per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
