Responsibilities

The Enterprise Applications Analyst serves as an IT point of contact for application administration needs within the NYBC Enterprise. This role works closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to assess processes, gather and document requirements, and provide informed recommendations that support operational and strategic goals. The Analyst partners with the Enterprise IT-QRA teams to review test plans, facilitate validation testing, and ensure that all application changes are compliant with FDA, regulatory, and organizational standards.

Essential Functions:

    IT liaison for application administration across NYBCe.
  • Partners with business units to conduct need assessments, gather requirements, and document workflows for new or modified applications.
  • Develop and review business requirements, functional specifications, and related documentation.
  • Collaborate with QRA to review and approve test plans, ensuring alignment with documented requirements.
  • Facilitate validation plan development, execution, and documentation for supported software.
  • Manage system configurations, database tables, and user access/security roles within supported applications.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and coordinate resolution with vendors and/or internal teams.
  • Develop reports, queries, and dashboards using SQL, reporting tools, or basic programming techniques.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of application upgrades, patches, migrations, and implementations.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies, and IT best practices.
  • Train and support application end users on application functionality.
  • Provide operational assistance to end users by communicating very complex technical issues to non-technical personnel.
  • Work with IT leadership to ensure goals and needs are met in relation to overall IT vision/direction.
  • Confidently communicate and interpret intermediate information in English to all members of the public and NYBCe Staff.

Other Important Functions:

  • Support project management activities, including project planning, task tracking, and stakeholder communication.
  • Conduct application training for end-users and provide ongoing user support.
  • Assist in maintaining system documentation, including SOPs, process maps, and technical references.
  • Monitor application performance and recommend optimization opportunities.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and industry best practices related to enterprise applications.
  • Attend meetings as necessary.
  • Participates in continuing education and networking events as required.
  • Periodically on-call to troubleshoot problems with software applications and to help coordinate IT Applications efforts after hours.
  • Any related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science/Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years' experience in enterprise application support, business analysis, or related IT role.

Any combination of education, training and experience equivalent to the requirements above that has supplied the necessary knowledge, skills, and experience to perform the essential functions of the job.

Experience with validation testing in a regulated environment preferred. Familiarity with healthcare, life sciences, or blood center operations is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong business analysis skills with experience in requirements gathering and documentation.

  • Knowledge of validation processes and documentation in a regulated environment.

  • Working understanding of SQL, reporting tools, and basic programming concepts.

  • Proficiency with enterprise software systems and configuration management.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across departments.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and quality

The proposed salary for this position is $85,000/yr. - $95,000/yr.

This position will work in the office located in Providence, RI.
