The Corporate Information Services Department is seeking a dynamic and talented Sr. Director - IS Technology Ventures.

The Sr. Director - IS Technology Ventures works with the VP - CIO and AVP - Technology Ventures to drive the design, execution, and measurable impact of a digital innovation and ethical, responsible, AI strategy. That creates operational efficiency, patient and caregiver value, and sustainable revenue diversification. Oversees and influences multiple matrixed cross-functional teams and enterprise initiatives to scale innovation. Champions change management, process redesign, and the adoption of emerging technologies (AI, cloud, automation, EHRs) to accelerate digital transformation and enhance business and clinical outcomes. Works collaboratively with Corporate and Facility management to ensure People, Process, and Technology alignment within and/or across divisions. Demonstrates understanding of both the business and clinical objectives of Corporate and Facility management personnel and the daily operational processes at the facilities. Ensures IS activities are adaptable to evolving organizational needs and delivered in a manner that supports and enhances business and clinical operations, enabling the Senior Director to work across a wide range of areas-including strategy, operations, technology, finance, policy, and digital innovation.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Partners with the VP - CIO and AVP - Technology Ventures to define and execute an enterprise digital innovation and AI strategy that delivers measurable improvements in patient outcomes, caregiver efficiency, and organizational performance.
  • Leads enterprise efforts to identify, evaluate, and scale high-impact AI, analytics, and automation solutions-ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.
  • Works collaboratively with Corporate and Facility management to ensure People, Process and Technology alignment within and/or across divisions.
  • Performs management duties including: financial management, project management and personnel management of team members or multiple teams.
  • Fosters a culture of responsible innovation by mentoring teams, promoting experimentation, and developing partnerships with internal stakeholders and external innovators.
  • Assesses management and staff talent and develops appropriate action plans to enhance skills, knowledge and job performance. Identifies growth opportunities for high performers and ensures they are continually challenged and providing value to the company. Delivers informative and to-the-point Annual Evaluations across teams. Works closely with Directors, Assistant Directors, Managers and staff personnel to further enhance and develop their skills.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
  • Ten or more years of progressively more responsible Information Systems experience, including previous experience in a complex healthcare provider organization.
  • Demonstrated expertise in AI, digital transformation, and technology-enabled innovation.
  • Experience with IT Development Life Cycle (design, configuration, testing, training, go-live, support, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of value-based care, payer contracting, provider networks, health policy, revenue cycle, care management, EHRs, and risk adjustment.
  • Knowledge of innovation portfolio management, emerging technology evaluation.
  • Experience developing innovation roadmaps that align clinical, operational, and financial priorities.

Skills:

  • Ability to translate complex technology concepts into actionable business strategies.
  • Strong executive communication skills, including the ability to facilitate strategy sessions and articulate innovation value to senior leaders.
  • Proven track record of leading digital or AI-enabled transformation initiatives with quantifiable business or clinical outcomes.
  • Experience cultivating partnerships with startups or other vendors to accelerate innovation.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of computer systems analysis and programming techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications; design, development, documentation, analysis, creation, testing, coding, debugging, or modification of computer systems or programs based on and related to user design specifications.
  • Working knowledge of IS standards and quality methods and metrics.
  • Working knowledge of project management methods.
  • General familiarity with user business practices, concepts, and terminology sufficient to support applications.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive change management, and facilitate executive workshops and strategy sessions.
  • Language proficiency in English, with excellent written and oral fluency.

Travel Requirements: Up to 25% domestic US travel (depending on projects).
