As Scheduling Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Scheduling nursing unit staff. Determining and ensuring appropriate unit staffing ratio.
  • Adhering to nursing FTE standards and managing daily reporting in Excel according to Hospital policy, reporting to DON.
  • Accurately communicating to Nurse Managers/House Supervisor regarding staff, cues and acuity levels.
  • Collecting and computinge staffing statistics on a daily basis and communicating statistics to Nurse Leaders (Attendance, tardiness, and meal alerts).
  • Cerical and administrative assignments to support department operation.
  • Reporting hospital staffing totals to Hospital Leaders, in order to identify current staffing ratios designed to manage patient admissions.
  • Identifying unit duties of all Nursing Staff in order to report hours worked for payroll.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma required, Bachelor degree in Behavioral Health or Psychology highly preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years previous experience in Behavioral Health and/or 2+ years Staffing Coordinator experience preferred.
  • Additional Requirements: CPR certification and Completion of Handle With Care training within 90 days of employment.
