Responsibilities

Center for Change is seeking a full-time 40 hour a week Admissions Intake Advisor to provide an effective point of first contact to help those seeking treatment for an eating disorder and those seeking information about the Center's treatment programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to general telephone and E-mail requests for information
  • Assist professionals seeking information about the Center's treatment programs
  • Provide an efficient, friendly, and compassionate point of first contact to individuals and families seeking help and information about treatment options at the Center, including evaluation of costs, insurance coverage, and length of stay
  • Gather initial clinical information for determination of needed services
  • Work closely with key members of the admissions team to plan for admissions and facilitate the admissions process
  • Enter contact information in the tracking database.

Qualifications

  • Two years of college education or related experience in a behavioral healthcare setting
  • Bachelor's Degree in behavioral science preferred
  • Familiarity with psychological, sociological, and medical terminologies preferred
  • Comfortable dealing with individuals and family members of those with mental health issues
  • Previous experience in admissions/Intake preferred
  • Previous experience in a position utilizing excellent public relations and communication skills
  • Excellent telephone communication skills
  • Previous experience in a position utilizing crisis management skills preferred
  • Solid computer and data entry skills (including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • All staff are required to be fully COVID vaccinated (as defined by the CDC) or qualify for a medical/religious exemption under the CMS mandidate.
