As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Patrols in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a dynamic tech and media location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents while building strong connections with those on site. Pay Rate: $17.46 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in accordance with company guidelines.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including both interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any unusual findings.
• Monitor access points and observe activities within the location to help to deter potential security-related issues.
• Maintain detailed logs and reports of patrols, incidents, and observations as required by site policies.
• Support emergency response activities when appropriate, assisting with evacuations or other procedures as needed.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members to provide information and assistance.
• Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific procedures to help to deter security-related risks in a tech and media environment.

• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
