Integrated Behavioral Health Clinician

The primary care behavioral health clinician (BHC) works in the primary care clinic delivering accessible, equitable, evidence-based assessment and treatment for children, their families as a member of the primary care team. The BHC works closely with primary care providers and staff to offer evidence-based therapy for patients aged 0-21 and their families to address a wide range of presenting concerns. The role also offers opportunities for integrated consultation during patients' medical visits, as well as education and collaboration with medical staff to ensure comprehensive, equitable and effective treatment of behavioral health concerns. Successful applicants will be comfortable with a flexible, fast-paced, and team-based work environment.

• Accurately assesses and documents client presenting problems, history, symptomology, mental status, and diagnosis. Prescribes initial interventions in a timely manner.
• Assists in developing specific, realistic, and measurable treatment goals and objectives.
• Employs strategies of intervention that are consistent with empirically supported treatments and consistent with program expectations.
• Coordinates client care with other service providers and community resources to assure continuity of care.
• Completes clinical charting and other related administrative paperwork in accordance with policy standards.
• Remains current in general knowledge of psychopharmacology in pediatric behavioral healthcare and collaborates consistently with team psychiatrist.

Master's Degree from an accredited university or professional school of Counseling, Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy, required.

• Appropriate Ohio licensure, required. Must remain current in required licensure and clinical or other training as required.
