As a Security Professional - Shopping Center Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a retail location, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and foster a welcoming environment for all visitors. Your visible presence and strong customer service skills will contribute to a positive experience, while your attention to detail supports daily operations. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, guests, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies at the retail location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal training and protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store and around the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to observe and report any suspicious behavior or conditions.
• Assist with emergency response activities as needed, including guiding individuals to designated areas and communicating with Allied Universal management or local authorities.
• Document and report incidents, observations, and maintenance needs according to established procedures.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to provide reassurance and support to employees and customers.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
