Security Officer - Logistics Access Control Patrol

As a Security Officer - Logistics Access Control Patrol in Virginia Beach, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As an unarmed patrol officer in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment for staff and visitors. Your presence and attention to detail will support access control, while your commitment to outstanding customer service reflects Allied Universal's values of integrity, teamwork, and people-first culture. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the logistics and distribution environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or unusual circumstances encountered during patrols.
• Assist visitors, employees, and/or delivery personnel by providing information and directions as needed while maintaining site protocols.
• Collaborate with logistics and distribution staff to support site operations and security-related needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
