Security Officer - Access Control - Full Time

As a Security Officer - Access Control - Full Time in Deer Park, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical / Petrochemical, and more.

As an Access Control professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor entry points and patrol assigned areas at a chemical and petrochemical location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication. This position includes driving responsibilities. Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies while performing access control duties.
• Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas within the chemical and/or petrochemical facility.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity, keeping in mind the unique requirements of a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
• Participate in emergency response activities as directed, maintaining awareness of site-specific hazards and protocols.
• Maintain thorough and accurate records of all security-related activities, incidents, and observations as required by the site.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and contractors to provide guidance on security-related policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
