As a Security Officer - Access Control - Full Time in Deer Park, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical / Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor entry points and patrol assigned areas at a chemical and petrochemical location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication. This position includes driving responsibilities. What You'll Do: Responsibilities: - Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies while performing access control duties.
- Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas within the chemical and/or petrochemical facility.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity, keeping in mind the unique requirements of a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
- Participate in emergency response activities as directed, maintaining awareness of site-specific hazards and protocols.
- Maintain thorough and accurate records of all security-related activities, incidents, and observations as required by the site.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and contractors to provide guidance on security-related policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements: - A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
- A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
