Department OverviewThe Global Products Operations Team seeks a skilled and agile project management leader to spearhead the development and delivery of next-generation, Gen AI-enabled software for the Enterprise market. This role involves leading both new software initiatives and sustaining feature development. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in best practices and the ability to streamline the engineering process to accelerate new product delivery.   • Manages engineering development projects, including new software and hardware-as-a-service solutions.

  • Presents project status to all levels of the organisation (VP level and above).

  • Partner with engineering, product management, design, QA, and operations to align resources and priorities.

  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of engineering programs from concept through launch.

  • Defines scope, develops project charters and statements of work (SOW) and obtains project sponsor/stakeholder buy-in for project initiation.

  • Drive improvements in engineering and program management processes, tools, and workflows.

  • Looks for opportunities to streamline development processes to accelerate delivery of solutions.

  • Flexible with ability to adapt process, schedules, to maintain quality and meet customer needs.

  • Defines and develops detailed project plans based on the given requirements and scopes.

  • Monitor project execution to ensure all obligations are met and drive projects to completion.

  • Collaborate with global stakeholders (internal and external) to resolve conflicts and drive successful delivery of projects.

  • Manages expectations of project sponsor and stakeholder with timely communication/escalation of risks/issues, their impact, and mitigation/corrective actions.

  • Identifies and mitigates project risks. Owns resolution to any dependency or issue not being delivered by the appropriate party.

  • Manages scope to ensure project goals are achieved.

  • Experienced with agile development methodologies and their associated quality assurance methods.

  • Proven experience in project management and software development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or similar is preferred.

  • Minimum 5 + years in a leadership or managerial role.

  • Minimum 7 + years of Project Management experience, preferably with experience in Hardware and Software Development, Telecommunications, Radio Communications, or Aerospace/Defense preferred.

  • Demonstrated competency with a project management tool (e.g. MS Project, Smartsheet)

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills are necessary.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a desire to collaborate with internal and external business/technical teams.

  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team.

  • Highly organised, structured, and process oriented; team building skills a plus.

  • Able to simplify a complex situation and provide updates accordingly.

  • Certified PMP preferred.

Target Base Salary Range: $112,300 - $150,000USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Basic Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
