We are looking for our next great team member to join us in filling the position of Catering Sales Manager. The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for selling, planning, and coordinating all catered events, meetings, and social functions. This role combines strong sales acumen with exceptional attention to detail and service, ensuring every event reflects the hotel's luxury standards and exceeds client expectations.

What you do each day:
Sales & Business Development
Proactively solicit and secure new catering business through prospecting, networking, and client relationships.
Manage assigned market segments such as corporate meetings, weddings, galas, and social events.
Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and close catering sales in alignment with revenue goals.
Conduct site visits, tastings, and pre-event meetings with clients and event planners.
Maintain strong relationships with repeat and high-value clients.
Event Planning & Coordination
Work closely with clients to plan all details of their event, including menu selections, room setups, decor, and timing.
Prepare and distribute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and ensure all departments are informed of event requirements.
Collaborate with Banquets, Culinary, and AV teams to ensure seamless execution and service excellence.
Attend pre-convention and pre-event meetings as needed.
Serve as on-site contact during events to ensure client satisfaction and address last-minute needs.
Financial & Administrative Responsibilities
Achieve or exceed revenue and profit goals for assigned segments.
Monitor and control catering revenues, expenses, and profitability.
Maintain accurate records, sales call reports, and client correspondence in the CRM system.
Support the Director of Catering or Director of Sales & Marketing with forecasting and budget planning.
Guest Experience & Brand Standards
Ensure all events align with the hotel's luxury brand image and service expectations.
Provide personalized service, anticipating guest needs and preferences.
Follow up with clients post-event to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
Does this sound like you?
Minimum 2-4 years of catering sales experience in a luxury or upscale hotel environment.
Proven success in selling and managing corporate or social events.
Strong knowledge of food & beverage operations, event planning, and contract negotiation.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Proficiency with hotel sales systems (e.g., Delphi, Opera, or similar CRM tools).
Ability to multitask and manage multiple events simultaneously.
Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, or related field preferred.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods while attending events.
Occasionally lift or carry items up to 25 lbs.
