Overview

The Quality Systems Manager, in collaboration with and under the direction of the Director of Home Care, is responsible for the management of Children's Mercy Home Care's (CMHC) clinical quality, risk management, infection control, and clinical documentation program. This position is responsible for the design, implementation, education and oversight of the quality improvement, quality assurance, infection control, risk management, and clinical documentation improvement (including coding and 485 billing activities) within the department. This position supports the organization's mission to continuously improve the quality and service of clinical care in the hospital and in Children's Mercy Home Care.

Responsibilities

    Administers performance improvement methodology and data analysis to assist and guide Children's Mercy Home Care directors, managers, and staff in the performance improvement and assurance activities in the agency.
  • Establishes, coordinates, and maintains a program for risk management and infection control which encompasses written guidelines and protocols to provide for the safety of patients and staff.
  • Administers the oversight of diagnostic clinical coding and clinical billing activities as specified through the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and other payers.
  • Represents Children's Mercy Home Care in management and leadership functions.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and
    • 5-7 years experience
  • Master's Degree Preferred
  • One of the following: Licensed RN - MO, Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri required upon hire
  • One of the following: Licensed RN - Kansas, Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas required upon hire
  • RN Compact license for all states besides KS and MO
  • Refer to Nursing and Advanced Practice Provide Licensure and Certification policy for required Life Support Certifications Required Upon Hire
  • Certification in Quality Improvement or Risk Management Preferred
  • Certification in Infusion or Infection Control Preferred

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $39.86/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.



Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children's Mercy locations and may not work from home.
