The Division of Primary Care Pediatrics within the Department of Pediatrics at UVA Health Children's Hospital is dedicated to enhancing care models that increase access, improve health outcomes, and support children and families throughout Central Virginia. Our mission is to deliver comprehensive, family-centered pediatric care that integrates prevention, acute illness management, chronic disease follow-up, and health education within a collaborative, team-based environment.
As part of our ongoing growth, the Division is expanding to a new clinical site-Riverside II-anticipated to open by May 2026. This state-of-the-art location will offer a traditional primary care model for established patients while also serving as a same-day access hub for acute pediatric visits from across UVA Health Children's and the broader community. Our interprofessional team includes more than two dozen pediatricians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and allied health professionals who share a deep commitment to health equity, innovation, education, and quality improvement. The Riverside II site will extend UVA's mission of delivering accessible, evidence-based, and compassionate care for every child. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in pediatric primary care or family medicine; demonstrated proficiency in developmental screening, preventive health, and acute pediatric management; strong communication and care coordination skills; prior experience in quality improvement or population health initiatives; and a passion for interprofessional collaboration and health advocacy.
