The Division of Pediatric Genetics within the Department of Pediatrics at UVA Children's plays a critical role in ensuring early identification and management of genetic and metabolic disorders across Virginia. Our interdisciplinary team provides comprehensive, family-centered care for infants, children, and adolescents with genetic and metabolic conditions.
The Division seeks to expand its team by adding a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) who will partner closely with physicians and Genetic Counselors to improve access to care, strengthen statewide service coverage, and enhance the quality and timeliness of newborn screening interpretation. Shifts: Monday-Friday, primarily daytime hours; occasional flexibility required to support on-call coverage needs. Experience in pediatric or medical genetics, newborn screening interpretation, or metabolic disorders; demonstrated proficiency in family-centered counseling and interdisciplinary collaboration; strong analytical and communication skills; and prior experience in academic or tertiary care settings preferred.
