Baptist Health LaGrange is hiring for a part time, dayshift, Radiology Assistant (RA). The RA performs receptionist, clerical and organizational duties that supportthe Diagnostic Imaging staff and process. The RA greets each patient, activates a patient accountand processes workflow for Diagnostic Imaging. The RA also interacts with Radiologists and otherPhysicians on an ongoing basis. They have the responsibility of communicating with providers,scheduling and staff. The Radiology Assistant supports the fulfillment of the departmental mission toperform diagnostic radiologic testing that meets and exceeds customer expectations through accurateradiologic studies, continuous performance improvement and timely reporting of results.

As a Radiology Assistant, key responsibilities include processing radiology reports accurately and efficiently, as well as greeting patients and assisting with the processing of procedure orders to ensure a smooth workflow. The role involves handling both physical films and electronic images, ensuring proper organization and accessibility for diagnostic use. Regular attendance at staff meetings is expected to stay informed about departmental updates and procedures. Additionally, the Radiology Assistant is responsible for maintaining equipment and managing supplies to support daily operations and uphold the quality of patient care.

The candidate should have basic computer skills, typing and previous hospital experience preferred.

24 Hours Weekly, Part Time, Dayshift
