Job Purpose:

The Aftermarket Sales Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting the Aftermarket Product Manager to drive market share expansion and boost profitability. This position's core responsibilities include developing, mentoring, and motivating sales teams to enhance aftermarket sales performance within the regions. Committing to extensive travel throughout the territory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Honor Commitments:

  • Develop and execute strategies with a focus to maximize profitability, grow company market share and improve customer penetration, fulfilling the company's commitment to expansion and financial success.
  • Address quality control complaints from dealer locations. Discuss with team members to find short and long-term solutions.
  • In-person location visits to each authorized retailer at least once per quarter, honoring a commitment to consistent communication and support.
  • Service branches with Aftermarket support and communicate with management on a regular basis, ensuring ongoing support and fulfilling commitments to information sharing.

Create Positive Experiences:

  • Develop relationships of value and trust with vendors, customers, and coworkers, fostering positive and collaborative interactions with all stakeholders.
  • Work with the Aftermarket Product Manager to conduct and coordinate training at each location for key staff. Training will be in the form of sales meetings, one on one discussions, and field activity with the sales team, creating engaging and valuable training experiences.
  • Participate in all Alltrux trade shows, expos, and customer events, representing the company positively and creating engaging experiences for attendees.

Foster Lifelong Learning:

  • Continuously analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and stay ahead of the curve, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and market awareness.
  • Continuously update personal knowledge of products and customer service techniques, contributing to the team's overall skill enhancement.
  • Participate in the development of Alltrux training videos, contributing to the creation of valuable learning resources for team members.

Exhibit a Pioneering Spirit:

  • Work closely with the Aftermarket Product Manager to develop and execute innovative sales strategies to penetrate new markets and customer segments, demonstrating a proactive and forward-thinking approach.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive branch-specific growth strategies, proactively seeking opportunities to expand market reach and improve retail performance.
  • Identify and implement new technologies and tools to enhance sales effectiveness and efficiency.

Demonstrate Good Stewardship:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and ethical standards in sales practices, upholding the company's reputation and demonstrating responsible conduct.
  • Track and analyze KPIs related to retailer performance and product sales, using data to drive informed decision-making.

Other Duties as Assigned:

  • Adapt to the evolving needs of the organization and undertake additional responsibilities as required, reflecting our commitment to flexibility and responsiveness in meeting business objectives
  • This role requires 50% travel throughout our footprint.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of product management, category management, or marketing experience in the trucking, automotive, transportation, or heavy equipment industries.
  • Ability to extract, analyze, and interpret data to draw actionable insights.
  • Progressive thinker who embraces new ideas and implements change.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced computer and software skills.
  • Ability to travel throughout the Midwest is required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
