Job Overview The Food Service Worker at our hospital plays a crucial role in our patient care experience, This position involves ensuring the timely delivery of meals to patients, taking patient meal orders, maintaining dietary guidelines, and contributing to a positive atmosphere. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and committed to providing excellent service. Qualifications Required Successful completion of general and department specific orientation Previous experience in a food service role Knowledge of dietary restrictions and food safety standards Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Able to work in a very fast-paced environment Preferred Experience in a healthcare setting Certification in food handling and safety Bilingual abilities Excellent problem-solving skills Scheduling Requirements Full Time Day 7am-3:30pm with weekend and holiday requirements Essential Functions: Deliver meals to patients in a timely and respectful manner Takes patient meal orders Adhere to dietary restrictions and guidelines for each patient Maintain cleanliness and organization of food service areas Collaborate with the healthcare and dietary team to ensure patient satisfaction.
