Job Summary South Mountain Community College is seeking a Testing Specialist to join our dynamic Testing Center team. The Testing Specialist provides high-quality, front-line customer service to students, faculty, and community members while ensuring the integrity and smooth operation of all testing services. This position requires strong communication and teamwork skills, a commitment to excellent customer service, and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail, and discretion in handling confidential materials, while contributing to a collaborative, student-centered culture. The Testing Specialist serves as a certified test proctor and is responsible for administering academic, career, and certification assessments-including CLEP exams-in accordance with established procedures and vendor requirements. Essential Functions Testing Operations and Customer Service (60%)

Minimum Qualifications Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution, and one (1) year full-time of student services or college teaching experience or experience assisting with educational program development and coordination, student advisement, financial aid, customer service, or related student development programs. Or High school diploma/GED from a regionally accredited institution, and three (3) years full-time of student services or college teaching experience or experience assisting with educational program development and coordination, student advisement, financial aid, customer service, or related student development programs. Desired Qualifications A. Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally and effectively with diverse populations B. Proven record of providing exceptional customer service in a high-volume, fast-paced setting C. Demonstrated technical proficiency with exam administration software/applications and the ability to troubleshoot hardware or network issues D. Experience maintaining accuracy and confidentiality in handling testing records and sensitive information E. Fluency in Spanish (verbal and written) F. Strong organizational, time management, and teamwork skills to coordinate multiple priorities and support a collaborative environment Special Working Conditions
