JOB TITLE:

Community Outreach Coordinator I

JOB PURPOSE:

Assist in planning, coordinating, and delivering outreach and educational services and programs to accomplish the goals and objective of the Wyoming Institute for Disabilities (WIND), Health Emphasis Programs, including the Wyoming Telehealth Network, Inclusive Health & Disability Program, and the University of Wyoming Project ECHO health network.

This position is grant funded and considered at-will employment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • As directed by the Program Manager, Senior, coordinate activities associated with the Wyoming Telehealth Network (WyTN), including coordinating trainings, events, and meetings; maintaining and managing the WyTN provider enrollment database; coordinating the implementation, development, and distribution of outreach/education materials, including (not limited to) educational campaigns.
  • Assist with the coordination of UW Project ECHO health networks, including assisting with ECHO networks and sessions, maintaining and managing attendance, session materials, planning documents, correspondence with attendees, etc.
  • Coordination and management of certificates of attendance and continuing professional education credits through accrediting bodies for all educational sessions related to the health emphasis programs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of community education and training needs of the health emphasis programs at WIND. Including (but not limited to) workshops, presentations, seminars, and asynchronous trainings related to health emphasis goals and priorities.
  • Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with agencies and organizations interested in specified programs or services.
  • Assist in the development of or develop marketing plans and publicity materials for distribution to target audiences.
  • Develop and maintain database and/or website related to a specific activity, project, or service.
  • May assist in the development of budgets and maintain financial records related to a specific activity, project, or service.
  • May research, prepare, and/or write grants, applications, and fundraising proposals to sources at local, state, and national levels.
  • May conduct research for an activity, program or service and write articles and reports and develop strategies and avenues to disseminate information and research.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's degree

Experience: 1 year of experience

Required licensure, certification, registration, or other requirements: Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy .

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge:
  • Population and public health practice, healthcare access, and rural health barriers to care
  • Program coordination, outreach, and adult education/training principles, including continuing education credit requirements.
  • Database management and data tracking systems
Skills and Abilities to:
  • Strong organization and project management skills
  • Skilled in planning, coordinating, and delivering workshops, meetings and training sessions.
  • Apply problem-solving techniques and professional judgment in complex, confidential, and sensitive situations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including healthcare professionals, community partners, and individuals with disabilities.

WORK LOCATION:

On-campus: This position provides vital support to campus customers, and the successful candidate must be available to work on campus.
