Description
Is an internship focused on changing the world's energy future intriguing? If so, we might have just the opportunity you're looking for! Reporting to the Physical Process Science & Realization group, you will work with scientists and engineers at INL's Biomass Feedstock National User Facility (BFNUF) to develop and validate novel digital models of biomass materials or engineering systems and use modeling approaches to elucidate influence of material properties on bioenergy product quality or explore engineering solutions to improve process performance energy efficiency. Strong communication skills to interact with subject matter experts and peer colleagues to learn the experimental and computational methodologies and existing data management systems are desired. Research experience in one or multiple of the areas listed below is desired.
This team works a 9x80 schedule onsite at our Research Education Campus facility in Idaho Falls, ID. Start date and duration of internship vary based on project and student availability. You may be eligible for course credit for this internship if approved by your university. Qualifications
