Job Description:

Perkins Coie is seeking a data-driven and strategic Marketing Analytics Manager to join our Intelligence and Insights team. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced analytics and AI to provide actionable insights that support the firm's business development, client growth, and competitive positioning. You'll translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives for a diverse audience of lawyers and firm leadership, shaping our approach to client origination and strategic growth.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

These essential functions are primary job duties that incumbents must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation.

  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear and concise output for a non-technical audience of legal professionals.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including partners, practice group leaders, and the Business Development team, to deliver tailored insights that inform their client and matter-specific strategies.

  • Using marketing, financial, and other firm data, develop actionable analyses on client behavior, market trends, and practice area performance.

  • Work alongside the Manager of Intelligence and Manager of Client Insights to build cohesive recommendations for business development.

  • Evaluate and build predictive analytics and AI tools to identify business and client development opportunities, forecast market demand for legal services, and optimize our marketing efforts.

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide intelligence on rival firms, new market entrants, and emerging legal trends.

  • Ensure high data quality from various internal and external sources (e.g., CRM, financial systems, and external data providers).

  • Keep up to date on evolving legal industry trends, changes to marketing technology (MarTech), and data privacy regulations to ensure our firm maintains a competitive edge and complies with all relevant standards.

  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

  • Be present at work during regularly scheduled working hours and as needed in the position, consistent with the firm's attendance expectations.

SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Experience determining how to measure the ROI of marketing initiatives with a focus on high-value activities such as thought leadership, events, and legal directory rankings.

  • Proven experience communicating to all levels of an organization, including business leadership and partners.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex data stories to senior-level partners and firm leadership.

  • Hands-on experience with the unique business development lifecycle of legal or professional services firms, including the importance of reputation, client relationships, and thought leadership.

  • Proven ability to evaluate user needs and develop them into predictive models and machine learning algorithms to support client and business development efforts.

  • Demonstrable experience with advanced analytical tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL) and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

  • 5+ years of experience in a marketing analytics or similar role.

  • 3+ years of experience with marketing technology used in the legal industry (e.g., CRMs such as InterAction, Salesforce; email marketing tools, proposal software).

SPECIFIC SKILLS PREFERRED

  • A working knowledge of legal ranking and directory data is highly desirable.

EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE

  • A bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline is required. A master's degree or MBA is preferred.

This position may be filled in the following location(s).The listed compensation range reflects the typical pay for this role, though it is rare for new hires to receive an offer at the top of the range.Actual compensation may vary depending on experience, skills, market conditions, and internal equity.

San Francisco Bay Area compensation range:$154,830to $241,770annually

Colorado compensation range: $121,310to $189,420annually

Illinois compensation range: $128,020 to $199,910 annually

Los Angeles compensation range: $141,270to $220,590annually

San Diego compensation range: $139,480 to $217,790 annually

New York compensation range: $140,760 to $219,790 annually

Washingtonstate compensation range: $127,960 to $199,810 annually

Washington,D.C.compensation range: $138,200 to $215,790 annually

Candidates must have authorization to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
