Overview

A Sales Applications Engineering applicant is a contributor to the sales process. Reporting to the VP Product Management Radiation Detection. This role works with the sales operations group responding to technical requirements from customers. Works with the radiation detection engineering team and product line managers in creating product requirements and documentation. Successful candidates have a technical background, are meticulous, and have good written communication skills. Must understand Rapiscan radiation detection systems and subcomponents.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain product knowledge on cargo Radiation Detection product lines.
  • Work with Sales Operations and others to create winning proposals.
  • Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs & RFPs
  • Complete technical compliance matrices
  • Support customer factory visits.
  • Assist in product demonstrations.
  • Work directly with PLM to support the development and maintenance of technical product specification.
  • Educate customers, and sales channel partners, on company products, technologies, and capabilities.
  • Support customer factory visits by creating and delivering presentations and conducting product demonstrations.
  • Develop demonstration assets that effectively highlight capabilities of the product.
  • Develop and conduct evaluations for assessing product effectiveness against customer requirements.
  • Uphold the company's core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork.
  • Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company's Code of Ethics and Conduct.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in technical discipline. preferably engineering, physics, or computer science discipline is preferred.
  • High School Diploma and equivalent work experience required.
  • 10 plus years of relevant experience.
  • Proactive self-learner
  • Some travel
  • Strong interpersonal communication and written skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications.
  • Fully understands all relevant IEEE ANSI standards
