Job Description

Elwyn seeks an Advancement Data and Stewardship Coordinator to provide effective operations support for all fundraising and donor management activities including, but not limited to, donor records, gift processing, and reporting. This support provides critical background for advancing our donor stewardship and engagement strategies, and we will look to this person to help us use the data to enhance our activities and planning.

This position provides critical internal and external support. They should be experienced and adept at engaging (written and verbally) with donors and key external stakeholders. This is an ideal position for a self-motivated, data-oriented, and curious individual.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the department's CRM, DonorPerfect, including data input and output, technology management, end-user training and support, policies to guide data entry, and ensure the database effectively captures donor information and generates accurate financial and analytical reports.
  • Process donations and prepare timely acknowledgement of donor-related correspondence.
  • Create regular fundraising, communications, financial, and other data reports as needed.
  • Ensure the accuracy of donor recognition listings.
  • Manage online forms for donations and events and program registration. Field inquiries received online or by phone regarding gift processing.
  • Implement regular data clean-up functions to ensure optimal data hygiene. Regularly evaluate our data management tools and make suggestions when needed.
  • Maintain gift backup files, and handle requests from the Finance Department connected to audits.
  • Partner with colleagues to enhance our communications and donor stewardship activities, using data analysis where possible to inform our strategies.
  • Help review and organize data related to policy outreach efforts.
  • Manage the Enrichment Fund by fulfilling project funding requests throughout the organization. Steward donations by promoting funded projects in coordination with Marketing and Communications Department.
  • Participate in occasional weekend and evening events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Prior work experience in development/fundraising and non-profit organizations.
  • CRM management experience required. DonorPerfect database experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Technology-savvy with an understanding of database systems and management. Experience with conducting data analysis a plus.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively in a small, dynamic environment, and organize time and priorities.
  • Strong collaborative skills with ability to be decisive when needed.
  • Thoughtful approach to customer service.
  • A self-starter with excellent problem-solving and implementation skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities while coordinating workflow. Skilled at clear and concise communication and setting realistic expectations for delivery.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
