Part Time/Weekend Nights (1900-0700) Eligible for Weekend Premium

For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 sign on bonus for all eligible experienced Registered Nurses with 1-2years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 2years of experience!

  • Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
  • Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

Nursing Float Pool

The Nursing Float Pool is the department for Registered Nurses that are seeking a dynamic position withexposureto a broad range of patient acuity levels.The Float Poolofferstheuniqueopportunity to developexpertisein multiple settings and refine core skill sets. Nurses in this department are adaptable to different units, including specialties, whichsupportsflexibility, time-management skills, and critical thinking.

  • Ability to float between multiple Medical-Surgical Units,IntensiveCare Unit (ICU) and Emergency Department
  • 12-hour shifts (7-7);Self-Scheduling
  • Every third or every other weekendrotation options

Summary:

The Registered Nurse II - Acute Care - MMC BID SAN roleis responsible forthe management of patient care, including clinical nursing practice/caring, leadership, management, professionalism, and growth/development, as well as the independent assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Education:Graduate of an accredited School of Nursingrequired; BSN preferred.
  • License/Certifications:Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurserequired. Current BLS certificationrequiredor must obtain within30 daysof start date. ICU, SCU, ED and PACURN'srequire ACLS and PALS Certifications within one year of start date orin accordance withDepartment guidelines. OB, NICURN'srequire NRP Certification within one year ofstartdate orin accordance withDepartment guidelines. Positions that are fully remote will not require BLS.
  • Experience:One year of RN experiencerequired. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Registered Nurse - Acute Care role.
  • Additional Skills/Requirements Required:Annual Electronic Fetal Monitoring competency for any RNassistingLaboring Womenrequired.
