Business Controller Functional area: Finance Country: United States City: Plymouth, MI Company name: Perceptron INC Date of posting: Oct 10, 2025 Your role Job Summary: MVS PC North America is hiring a proactive Business Controller to drive financial performance and support strategic decisions across product management, R&D, and operations. This role combines strong analytical skills with product economics expertise to guide decisions throughout the product lifecycle. This position reports directly to the General Manager PC US, with a dotted line to the MVS VP Finance and IAS Director of Finance. Key Responsibilities: Financial Planning & Analysis Monitor profitability, PK control, product master data, and gross margin Maintain standard costing and lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning Analyze financial results and variances for actionable insights Support scenario modeling and business case development Oversee accounting functions: AR/AP, general ledger, reporting, and system inputs Manage and develop Finance team Business Partnering Work with department heads to track performance and identify improvements Drive corrective actions and continuous improvement Provide financial guidance for strategic initiatives and cost optimization Support customer center inquiries Oversee IT administration for company needs Reporting & Compliance Ensure timely, accurate reporting aligned with group standards Provide tools for forecasting and deviation detection Implement automation to improve efficiency Maintain compliance with controls, standards, and policies Support audits Performance Management Develop KPIs and dashboards to monitor performance Lead financial process and system improvements Project Support Provide financial insights for ERP, M&A, and digital transformation projects To succeed, you will need Required Skills and Experience 3+ years in a similar role Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis skills Solid understanding of financial regulations, accounting processes, and IFRS Proficient in financial software, databases, and reporting tools (GPS, SAP preferred) Analytical mindset with excellent communication skills Comfortable in fast-paced environment Education and Certification Bachelor's in business, accounting, or finance (Master's preferred) CPA or equivalent experience Personal Requirements Hands-on, detail-oriented, and proactive Independent thinker and collaborative team player Committed to high standards and continuous improvement Adaptable, resilient, and solution-focused Open to feedback, growth, and working beyond defined scope In return, we offer Culture of trust and accountability Lifelong learning and career growth Innovation powered by people Comprehensive compensation and benefits Health and well-being Job location This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our Plymouth, MI location.
