Part of Dover Corporation's Engineered Systems segment, Vehicle Service Group (VSG) is a strong, diverse and dynamic global leader in the vehicle service industry. VSG comprises 13 major vehicle lifting, wheel service, diagnostic and collision repair brands: Rotary Lift, Chief, Forward, Direct-Lift, Ravaglioli, Hanmecson, Revolution, Elektron, Blitz, Nogra, Butler, Space and Sirio.

SUMMARY: Responsible for daily tracking of orders, status updates, monitoring inventory accuracy, including cycle count requests and processing as needed, analyzing inventory data to ensure current and planned inventory can support the demand. Responsibilities also including planning, inventory control, Kanban and/or In-House replenishment implementation and utilization, processing PO's and/or the release of PO's, create and maintain regular reports to provide data to all necessary teams for pertinent information to ensure satisfactory delivery to meet Company objectives and customer requirements.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

Checks all open parts orders daily to ensure inventory availability to cover open orders

Updates status of all open parts orders with estimated ship dates according to inventory/production availability

Attend meetings to obtain information pertinent to update parts order statuses as well as to obtain information that may help determine necessary changes in inventory levels to better support demand

Correspond with suppliers to obtain updated PO due dates and communicate any pertinent information to the supplier to help them to better support necessary stocking levels

Communicate with Commodity Managers with any supplier issues

Audit and review inventory transactions (receipts, transfers etc.) to ensure accurate inventory in all locations within the department.

Proactive communication with customer service with information regarding orders/inventory. Respond via email, phone and/or in person to inquiries and questions from both internal customers and outside suppliers.

Research and analyze inventory levels to support upcoming promotions or increases in demand.

Utilize the Parts Planner to make certain that PO's are in place to support demand and achieve optimum inventory levels.

Work with Engineering and Product Managers on CO's to understand the service parts expectation for new products/components as well as those that might be obsolete.

Create, maintain, and publish excel spreadsheets and other reports as needed.

Research and process cycle count adjustments including correcting negative inventory.

Enter and/or release PO's to suppliers to support optimum inventory levels. Investigates and solves problems resulting from material shortages.

Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in materials and/or purchasing or

industrial and/or related field experience. Ability to read blueprints is helpful.
