Senior Java/Mainframe Developer

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Experience developing multi-tier distributed applications with deep Mainframe expertise.
• Expert-level knowledge of REST API development and Java-based service architecture.
• Proven experience with MQ/Kafka technologies to develop and support data ingestion services, bridging legacy and modern messaging systems.
• Solid understanding of multi-threaded processing in application development.
• Familiarity with financial messaging protocols like FIX is a plus.
• Experience with version control using GIT workflows, and familiarity with deployment tools such as Jenkins, TerraCore, Concourse, and container technologies like Docker.
• Strong knowledge of mainframe legacy systems and technologies, including MQ messaging, CICS, COBOL, VSAM, and DB2 databases.
• Hands-on experience or interest in migrating mainframe applications to cloud-based distributed systems.
• Proven track record of developing and delivering full-stack cloud-native applications, preferably using Java.
• Expertise in relational and non-relational databases such as Oracle, Redis, Aerospike, and DynamoDB.
• Exposure to UI development with modern frameworks like Angular or React is a significant advantage.
• Comfortable working within Agile software delivery teams and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Passion for writing clean, maintainable code and continuously improving engineering practices.
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt and implement new technologies in fast-paced, evolving environments.
• Strong grasp of fundamental design principles for building modular, scalable, and maintainable platforms.
• Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to build positive relationships across cross-functional teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with problem-solving abilities and a professional attitude
