Description
Elevate Textiles is hiring a full-time On-Site Network Technical Support Technician. This position will primarily support our facilities in Gaston County, NC, with occasional support in Charlotte, Burlington, and other locations in the general area. The role is focused on networking skills (Cisco/Meraki) to support switches, wireless, and firewall infrastructure, while also requiring strong front-line support skills for Windows environments. Experience with servers and VMware is a plus. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in troubleshooting network and desktop issues, supporting end users, and working with enterprise IT systems. We are seeking someone with excellent interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, high character, and exceptional problem-solving ability. Responsibilities
- Support and maintain network infrastructure, including Cisco/Meraki switches, access points, routers, and firewalls.
- Investigate and resolve connectivity, VPN, VLAN, WiFi, and performance issues in a multi-site hybrid environment.
- Install, configure, maintain, and replace computers, peripherals, and network gear.
- Serve as a support technician for desktop and end-user issues (Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365).
- Troubleshoot and resolve PC hardware/software issues and provide user-level support.
- Provide training and guidance to end users on hardware and software use.
- Work closely with the Service Desk to track and resolve incidents, following established procedures and change-control policies.
- Escalate complex technical issues to higher-level teams as needed, while maintaining ownership of resolution.
- Monitor system and network performance, ensuring security and reliability.
- Participate in project-based work such as system upgrades, network improvements, and proof-of-concept testing.
Education & Experience
- 2-4 year degree in IT, MIS, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Hands-on experience with Cisco and Meraki switches, wireless controllers, and related networking equipment.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals: OSI model, VLANs, VPNs, WiFi, and firewalls.
- Solid experience in desktop support within a corporate environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and VMware virtualization (preferred).
- Familiarity with SAN storage and Azure networking is a plus.
- Relevant certifications preferred (CompTIA A+, Cisco/Meraki, CCNA).

- Demonstrated ability to ensure IT systems and networks meet business requirements for usability and performance.
