Shift: The regular hours for this position are day shift.Job Description: This position is a member of a multidisciplinary team responsible for the development of technologies for semiconductor wafer testing. The NPI Mechanical Design Engineer will be involved in all stages of new product development including initial concept, detailed design, validation, and product release. Success is measured by the ability to help the team develop solutions that deliver unique capabilities and provide excellent return on investment, both for FormFactor and for our customers. Successful individuals must employ creative design and problem-solving techniques and be able to effectively collaborate with team members.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *Effectively manages supports and coordinates projects, with minimal guidance and/or supervision. *Performs on-going conceptual and detailed mechanical design, design review and engineering analysis in support of New Product Introduction (NPI) projects. *Ensures all objectives regarding specifications, functionality aesthetics, and manufacturability are met. *Design detailed mechanical components, development fixtures, and assemblies of NPI projects. *Conduct Feasibility Analysis (FA) of new customer product requirement. *Develop, improve, and optimize processes that use a variety of semiconductor packaging, electrical, and mechanical process methods. *Technical contributor within the development team. *Provide data, reports, and documentation as needed to communicate progress and archive technical development. *Collaborate / coordinate with members of the technical staff and other departments. *Process FMEA plans. Skills: Agile Design, AutoCAD 3D, Bill of Materials (BOM), Mechanical Design, MRP Systems, SolidWorks 3D Modeling, Technical Solution DesignEducation & Experience: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience| RequiredPay Range: $90,500.00 - $118,755.00Pay Range Explained: This role in Livermore, California pays between $90,500.00 and $118,755.00 per year, depending on your experience, skills, and background. Pay may vary in other locations.
