CNB is looking for a qualified, motivated, and client- and team-focused individual to join our team as Electronic Banking Processor for our ON-SITE location in Hillsdale, Michigan.

JOB SUMMARY

Level I associate is responsible for accurate processing of all wire transactions for the bank including domestic, foreign and foreign currency transfers. Assists the Electronic Banking Manager with assigned processing functions including but not limited to audit and board reporting preparations, research, business online banking setup and support as it relates to wire transfers. Training of associates on proper form completion and processing of wire transfers is also handled by this individual.

Level II (in addition to providing back-up for Level I duties) is responsible for accurate system setup and support of business online banking enrollments, including those with added services related to Treasury Management services such as ACH, Wire, Positive Pay, Bill pay and other services as they are implemented. Assists with client support via phone for services. Assists the Electronic Banking Management with assigned processing functions including but not limited to business online banking setup and support.

DUTIES

Level I
  • Prepares and processes domestic, international and foreign currency wire transfers, which includes but is not limited to:
    • Properly initiating, verifying and receiving transfers request for all domestic, international and foreign currency for both outgoing and incoming wire transfer
    • Creating and running reports related to wire processing
    • Assisting with disaster recovery testing and documentation; including testing of the Federal Reserve backup/call-in processing annually and participating in the Wire Systems testing as scheduled by the vendor
    • Maintaining procedures and keeping department aware of changes related to system updates
    • Updating wire tracking log daily
    • Balances both domestic and international transactions daily and completes the desk checklist daily
  • Maintains record retention of all necessary records related to Wire transfers following department procedure and retention policy; including but not limited to all proper documentation for every domestic or foreign wire transfer
  • Maintains "phone-in wire" authorization codes for clients who call, fax and/or email request.
  • Creates wire posting transactions through use of the TMS program or physical documents, as needed.
  • Trains associates on proper completion of wire transfer forms and/or processing of wire transfers.


Level II (provides Back-up to Level I Duties)
  • Primary back-up to Level I
  • Primary wire transfer verifier daily
  • Prepares and completes system setup for business online banking, including ACH, Wires, Positive Pay, Merchant Capture and other services as added. Includes completing forms, verifying or requesting proper management approval for services, reviewing agreements/contracts, verifying proper signatures and maintaining documentation as required by Policies and Regulations.
  • Assist Manager to complete ACH assessment reviews annually for all originators.
  • Provides support and training for clients and associates for business and personal online banking and mobile app services. Including all services and proper enrollment form completion.
  • Works closely with Treasury Management department as it relates to business online banking.


General Duties (applicable to all Levels)
  • Assists with external/internal audits; including but not limited to being the primary contact for Wire or ACH audit preparations; including documentation gathering and working with auditor(s).
  • Reviews and prepares/recommends updates of the Wire or ACH Policy Report in preparation for annual Board reporting and policy approval.
  • Assists with customer support of all electronic services including wire transfers, personal and business online banking set-up and support, support for mobile app, mobile deposit, bill pay, ACH/Wire processing and online banking.
  • Assists all associates with research related to Electronic Services and works closely with all Bank Operations departments on projects as needed. This will include cross-training on electronic service products such as online banking, mobile app, alerts, merchant and mobile deposit to assist with growing customer set-up and support needs.
  • Performs scanning and indexing of documentation in Director for retention.
  • Maintains record retention of all necessary records following department procedure and retention policy.
  • Trains associates and clients on proper use of electronic services.
  • Maintains and protects confidentiality of customer information.
  • Maintains regular, on-time attendance.
  • Remains current in assigned training and continuing education for designation retention (online, video, in-house emails, telephone seminars, etc.)
  • Complies with all regulatory requirements including Bank Secrecy Act and all others specific to their position.
  • Performs other various duties as assigned.


CONTACT WITH OTHERS - INTERNAL
  • Communicates on a regular basis with all associates regarding information retained in the wire processing area and electronic banking products and procedures.


CONTACT WITH OTHERS - EXTERNAL
  • Communicates on a regular basis with wire system vendor for assistance as needed.
  • Communicates regularly with clients pertaining to wire transactions requests and research.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous bank experience is preferred.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
  • Ability to efficiently and accurately keyboard information, both computer and calculator.
  • Strong computer skills with a proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
