Responsibilities
The Marketing Digital Content Strategist intern role builds upon content marketing fundamentals with web content creation and optimization for the State Farm Corporate blog, Simple Insights, on statefarm.com. The internship will be focused primarily on one area, though there will be opportunities to learn from other Marketing functions (e.g., Search team, Brand Design, Creative Content) as a part of your work day. Additional information:
- Optimizes existing articles to improve rank and maintain relevancy
- Inventories existing rich media content and develop recommendations
- Attends and participates in department/team meetings
- Collaborates with other Marketing interns on a group project (TBD)
Qualifications
Must have Skills:
- Superior copywriting skills, as well as strong copy editing, proofreading and research skills
- Proficient use of AP Style
- Analyzes complex ideas and communicates them in a clear and concise manner to all target audiences
Preferred Skills:
- GPA of 3.5 and above
- Knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Sites and Assets
- Uses Photoshop or other editing software to edit assets
- Uses keyword and other search-based data to inform content decisions
Who We Are Looking For
- Current sophomores or juniors (preferably) enrolled in an undergraduate program majoring in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Digital Design or a related major with a graduation date of December 2026 or later. Will consider freshman who meet all other criteria.
- Must have at least one semester remaining after the conclusion of the internship.
Internship Program Eligibility:
- To be eligible for the summer internship program, candidates must be full-time students currently enrolled in an undergraduate program with at least one semester remaining after the internship, and must maintain their student status throughout the duration of the internship.

- Summer Internship Dates: June 1, 2026 - August 7, 2026
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 38.75 hours per week
- Due to the short duration of the summer program, we seek interns who will be available to engage and participate throughout the internship with little to no disruption in work schedule.
- Pay: $22/hour. In addition, interns selected for our summer internship program will be eligible for a $2,000 stipend (minus applicable taxes)!
- Competitive candidates will be invited to participate in a pre-screening video interview in the Fall of 2025
- Where You'll Work:
- HYBRID: This is a hybrid position which allows you to spend some of your time working from home as well as some time working collaboratively in-office. You will work out of the hub location listed below.
- Selected interns must reside within the continental U.S. for the duration of the summer internship.
- For San Francisco candidates: Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
- For Los Angeles candidates: Pursuant to the Los Angeles Fair Change Initiative for Hiring, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories.
- Candidates selected for an internship will be eligible for a $2,000 stipend
